My conversation with Vanessa Dew, Co-founder of Health-Ade, continues with how she made the jump from pharmaceutical sales to Kombucha entrepreneur. Vanessa shares that her parents preferred a traditional career path for her, however, at the heart of it, she felt unfulfilled. Vanessa always had an entrepreneurial spark from the time she was young so she felt the next best thing to working in a lab was working at a pharmaceutical company. This decision still left her feeling like she needed and wanted more! Vanessa wanted to be working FOR something not just IN something. When she was in business school she started taking some entrepreneur classes that really piqued her curiosity. It was then that she met her two best friends, Dinah and Justin, who are now the co-founders of Health-Ade. That is when she decided to “follow her gut” instead of her traditional comfort zone.
