Want to know what Billy Joel, The Rolling Stones, U2, Cardi B, The Four Seasons, Iggy Azalea and Radiohead (and way too many others to name) all have in common? πΆ They have all graced the stage of the legendary New Haven, CT nightclub, Toad’s Place. Growing up in the New Haven area, I admit I took the famed music venue for granted. My cousin, Brian Phelps, who is the owner and president of Toad’s, had an event this week to kick off the release of his new book ‘Stories from New Haven’s Famed Music Venue’. The book is hilarious, iconic and extremely interesting for any music lover out there. Add it to your holiday shopping list. The stories Brian shares in the book feel like a “back stage pass” to some of the most beloved rock stars in the music industry. SUPER cool! πΈ Honored to have been a part of this very special night.

Happy 50th birthday to this magical place that feels like my second home πͺβ¨ @waltdisneyworld
I grew up in a “Disney family”. When I was young, Disney was a place my family traveled to each summer where I would dress up, play, laugh and feel like a little princess myself.
Now as an adult, I reflect on all of the memories and special times in that place…it has become a part of who I am. I have made memories with my mom and grandparents that last a lifetime, learned life lessons that I now realize guide me through life, and fully believe “all your dreams can come true if you have courage to pursue them,” (Thanks, Walt)
When I started working at GMA, it felt like a pinch me moment for many reasons but one was to be a part of the Disney family in an even more magical way. To give to the company that gave me so much for so many years- priceless. Cheers to 50 more π₯π

π§ One of the many reasons why I love NYC is because there is a sense of honesty that surrounds talking openly about mental illness awareness. THIS is how we start to fight the stigma that feels isolating for so many people suffering in silence. I hope we all can show compassion for those suffering with mental illness, that we can become more educated and informed on these topics, and be honest about seeking treatment when needed.
Even if this conversation helped ONE person, it’s enough for me β€οΈ

βοΈ Success is an inside job βοΈ
Three months ago I decided to admit to myself and the world (my little bubble) that I am worthy of making my dreams a reality. For whatever reason, a lightbulb went off inside of me and I realized that a crazy dream is only crazy until you actually JUST do it.
Together my small but mighty “team” and I (@itsjackiemacdougall β€οΈ) supported and led me fearlessly into becoming unapologetic about exactly what it is I am working towards. In three short months, I launched a new YouTube channel, I engaged an IG following, a started a new job at Good Morning America, launched a TikTok, created a website and logo branding alongside the majorly talented @merakidigitalmarketingagency
So what is my point in sharing all of this? If you are reading this post and are feeling like “when is it going to be my turn” or “how do I get out of my current life situation”…..
Here are the three steps that helped me take action and just get started:
1. Be unapologetic about what you love and what you want. Have no time for people who don’t believe in YOU.
2. Release all self judgment (constant work in progress with this one
3. Aim for progress not perfection
4.HAVE. FUN. ALONG. THE. WAY.

Life is made up of all these little special moments in time. After last year, I consciously try every single day to soak them all in and move my controlling worries and anxiety to the side. Weekends like this one definitely make it a whole lot easier β€οΈπ₯°
I was taking an @orangetheory class this week (crazy, I know) and the instructor said “Put your “feelings” aside for 45 mins. Your mind and your body are so much stronger than you give yourself credit for.” I thought about it all week. WE are so much stronger than we think we are!πͺπ»Happy Friday y’all! I had some thoughts over the weekend π
I was thinking about life and how quickly things change. Something I learned over the past few weeks, months, maybe even a year is that you have to take things as they come, the good and the bad. Realizing sometimes you are just in a season of “no” or sometimes a season of things going right. In relationships, work, and friendships....I learned that the bad times are just as important as the good because if we don’t have them then we don’t grow. Everyday is a new journey, a new opportunity to wipe the slate clean and start new again. If you are reading this, I hope on this Monday you take the good with the bad, take NOTHING personal, and continue to look forward embracing all the crazy ebbs and flows that life brings AND sometimes just eat π¦ for breakfast!
