Governor Island: NYC’s Best Kept Hidden Gem with a new “furry” addition for 2021!
Only a $3 ferry ride from lower Manhattan, Governors Island is surely one of NYC’s best kept hidden getaways. With many hiking, biking, and walking paths, this island oasis is a perfect day trip for anyone who is looking to escape the city hustle. Governors Island should be on your summer bucket list including its culinary experience which offers a wide selection of international favorites. The island is also home to 5 new sheep “employees” who are a must-see as they maintain the invasive species on the Island. Governors Island is now open for the 2021 season, so if you are deciding on your next weekend getaway, I’ve got you covered!
